Lucknow: In a significant step toward strengthening road infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for three National Highway projects worth over ₹4,850 crore at a ceremony held in Lucknow.
The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with several public representatives and senior government officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that under the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh is witnessing rapid expansion of world-class road infrastructure. The new National Highway projects are expected to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time, and provide a major boost to trade, industry, and investment across the state. They are also expected to accelerate regional development and create new employment opportunities.
During the programme, gratitude was expressed to the Union Ministers for these important infrastructure projects, and the people of Uttar Pradesh were congratulated on receiving this significant development initiative. The speakers remarked that the “New Uttar Pradesh” is emerging as a model of enhanced security, modern infrastructure, and good governance, establishing a strong identity on the national stage.
