Independence Day Seminar: India’s Freedom Was the Result of the Shared Sacrifices of All Religions — Dr. Mansoor Siddiqui.

Shahjahanpur: On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, a seminar on the topic “The Role of Madrasas and Ulama in India’s Freedom Struggle” was organized at Madrasa Noor-ul-Huda, Bijlipura. The programme was presided over by Qazi-e-Shahar Syed Saif Hasan.
The chief guest, Dr. Mansoor Siddiqui, Professor at G.F. College, said that India’s freedom struggle was not the achievement of any one community but the result of the collective struggle of people belonging to different religions. He said that the contribution of the Ulama and madrasas in the fight against British rule remains unforgettable, as many of them endured severe hardships and torture and even sacrificed their lives for the country.
Dr. Vikas Khurana, Professor at Swami Shukdevanand University, said that the history of the freedom struggle should be taught to students through accurate and unbiased facts. Paying tribute to all the freedom fighters, he urged students to pursue quality education and contribute to the development of the country.
Presiding over the programme, Qazi-e-Shahar Syed Saif Hasan said that protecting the country’s freedom is the supreme duty of every citizen. He emphasized that mutual brotherhood and communal harmony are essential for the progress of the nation. Raju Bagga and Ajay Awasthi also addressed the seminar.
Several prominent personalities, including Izhar Hasan, Zahoor Ahmad, Kamran Hussain, Mohammad Zahid, Sajid Ali, Shariq Ali Khan, Moin Khan, Rizwan Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad, Abdul Qadir, Shariq Ali, and Haider Ali, were present on the occasion.
