80th Independence Day Celebrated with Fanfare at Reserve Police Lines, 10 Policemen Honored.
Shahjahanpur, August 15: A dignified programme was organized at the Reserve Police Lines in Shahjahanpur on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. The Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur, hoisted the national flag. Thereafter, police officers and personnel sang the National Anthem and took an oath to discharge their duties with dedication towards the nation and the Constitution, a strong sense of duty, and a spirit of public service.
On the occasion, 10 police personnel were honored with medals and certificates of appreciation for their outstanding and commendable work. Constable Akhilesh Kumar, posted at the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), New Delhi, in connection with Shahjahanpur district, was awarded the Silver Commendation Disc of the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, Constable Mukul Khokhar of the Surveillance Cell and Constable Vishal Chaudhary of the SOG were also awarded the Silver Commendation Disc of the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh.
In addition, Constable Hemraj Singh, Woman Constable Savitri Devi, Woman Constable Aarti Sahu and Head Constable Ravindra Kumar of UP-112/PRV No. 1344 were honored for their commendable work. Head Constable Trivendra, Home Guard Manish Kumar Gupta and Home Guard Ravi Kumar of PRV No. 1343 were awarded certificates for their excellent response time.
The Superintendent of Police congratulated the honored police personnel and appreciated their exemplary work. He also encouraged other police personnel to perform their duties with dedication, discipline and complete commitment.
During the programme, all police officers and personnel were extended Independence Day greetings, and sweets were distributed. Thereafter, a tree plantation drive was carried out on the police lines premises to spread the message of environmental conservation and a clean environment.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City), Circle Officer (City), Reserve Inspector and other police officers and personnel were present on the occasion. Everyone celebrated the national festival with enthusiasm, dignity and patriotic spirit and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation and upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution.
