Family Counseling Centre Resolves One Marital Dispute in Shahjahanpur.
Shahjahanpur, August 1: Under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur, a session of the Family Counseling Centre was held at the Police Lines on Saturday. During the proceedings, 15 cases were taken up for hearing, and one couple was successfully reconciled and sent home after reaching a mutual settlement.
The reconciled case belonged to Garhiya Rangeen Police Station. The couple had been married for about three years and has a two-year-old daughter. The wife had been living at her parental home for the past three months.
During the counseling, the wife alleged that her husband used to assault her at the instigation of his mother and sister. The husband, on the other hand, claimed that his wife frequently quarreled with his mother and sister, did not cook meals, and behaved disrespectfully towards him.
Both parties were invited to the Family Counseling Centre, where counselors facilitated a discussion and advised them to resolve their differences. Following the counseling session, the husband and wife agreed to settle the dispute amicably and decided to resume their marital life together. They were subsequently sent home peacefully.
The session was attended by Family Counseling Centre In-charge Woman Head Constable Chandrakanta Sharma, Woman Constable Neha Chauhan, Woman Constable Rashmi Chaudhary, Woman Constable Pinki, Woman Constable Nisha Mishra, Constable Vineet Kumar, and other police personnel.
