Amid Rain, Muharram Procession Held Peacefully in a Spirit of Harmony and Brotherhood, Drawing a Massive Crowd of Devotees.
Tilhar/Shahjahanpur. On Wednesday, on the occasion of 12 Wafat, the Juloos-e-Muhammadi was taken out peacefully across Shahjahanpur district. In Tilhar town, thousands of devotees participated in the procession. At various places along the route, langar, sweets, fruits and biscuits were distributed, while the procession was also welcomed with showers of flowers. Police personnel were deployed to ensure security arrangements.
At around 8 a.m., the procession began from behind Badi Masjid, located at Dargah Hazrat Shah Shamsuddin Miyan in Mohalla Kachcha Katra, under the guidance of Sajjad Nashin Iqbal Hussain alias Phool Miyan. The procession reached near Arya Samaj School, where a large number of devotees had gathered.
At around 9 a.m., the procession proceeded via Hospital Road towards the Old Roadways Crossing. Meanwhile, another procession was taken out from Madrasa Anjuman-e-Islamia. As the second procession reached the main market area, the first procession had to be stopped at the crossing for some time.
The sky remained overcast, with rain clouds looming overhead. Despite the weather, the enthusiasm of the devotees remained undiminished. Even amid the rain, people continued to participate in the procession in orderly rows, reciting Naat-e-Pak and religious hymns. The atmosphere resonated with religious slogans and expressions of joy on the occasion of the Prophet’s arrival.
The procession passed through Kachcha Katra, Hospital Road, Mauzampur, Mirganj, Pakka Katra, Dilazack, Chauhtiya Bazaar, Kakad, Nitganja, Hindu Patti and Gherchowa Tiraha before concluding behind Badi Masjid.
At several places along the procession route, local residents arranged langar for the devotees. Sweets and fruits were distributed at some locations, while biscuits and other food items were offered at others. In several places, the procession was warmly welcomed with showers of flowers.
Throughout the event, the administration and police maintained adequate security arrangements. Following the peaceful conclusion of the procession, the organizers and the police-administration expressed their gratitude to everyone who extended their cooperation.
