Strong Mechanism to Be Developed to Protect Interests of Outsourced Employees: Suresh Khanna.
Shahjahanpur: Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that through the Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Services Corporation, outsourced employees will be ensured timely payment of salaries, EPF, ESIC and other service-related benefits.
On Wednesday, a live telecast of the launch programme of the Outsourcing Services Corporation, organised by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, was watched at the Gandhi Bhawan Auditorium in Shahjahanpur.
The Minister said that outsourcing agencies meeting the prescribed standards would be empanelled for a period of three years. Agencies violating the rules would face action and could also be blacklisted. Arrangements have been made to ensure that employees receive their salaries between the 1st and 5th of every month. In addition, facilities such as maternity leave, health insurance and accident insurance will also be provided.
He said that in case of an accident, insurance coverage of up to Rs 20 lakh, Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh would be provided as per the applicable provisions, while assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh would be available in case of fire incidents. Provision has also been made for reservation in outsourced services for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, persons with disabilities, women and freedom fighters.
Mayor Archana Verma said outsourced employees would be able to register complaints through the portal for resolution of issues related to their rights and services. Municipal Commissioner Soumya Gururani said the portal would ensure transparency in resolving employees’ grievances, providing service-related benefits and regulating outsourcing agencies.
During the programme, the chief guest felicitated sanitation workers of the Municipal Corporation by presenting them with certificates of appreciation and safety kits. Approved certificates for beneficiaries of various schemes of the Labour Department were also distributed.
Under the Kanya Sahayata Yojana, Anwar Ali was provided a certificate for an approved assistance amount of Rs 65,000. Similarly, under the Shishu Hitalabh Yojana, certificates approving assistance of Rs 31,000 each were presented to Jagir Khan and Mohammad Yunus.
Mayor Archana Verma, Vice-Chairman Ved Prakash Maurya, District Cooperative Bank Chairman DPS Rathore, former Safai Karmachari Commission Chairman Surendra Nath Valmiki, District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh, Chief Development Officer Utkarsh Dwivedi, Municipal Commissioner Soumya Gururani, Assistant Labour Commissioner KK Gupta, along with officials, public representatives and outsourced employees were present on the occasion.
